Operationg System: DOS

DOS stands for Disk Operating System.

Type in a command, which gets interpreted and then carried out by the DOS program.

The DOS program is called command.com or cmd.exe

C:\> is called the command prompt or DOS prompt. The flashing underscore next to the command prompt is called the cursor. The cursor shows where the command you type will appear.

Then press ENTER, which brings you to CD\.
